Chez Tin Men, every custom tin box starts with a sample you can hold in your hands. Avec plus de 2,000 existing molds in our library, most sizes can be sampled quickly without new tooling — so you can verify the fit, finish and printing of your packaging before committing to mass production.
How Sampling Works
Our sampling process follows the same five-step customization flow we use for every project:
- Consultation initiale — Tell us your product, dimensions, quantity and design ideas. We recommend the closest match from our 2,000+ moules existants, or advise on custom tooling if you need a brand-new size.
- Conception et prototype — Our team prepares your custom sample with your artwork, printing and finish. Standard sampling takes 12~15 days.
- Production — Once you approve the sample, we schedule mass production.
- Assurance qualité — Every batch is inspected against the approved sample.
- Livraison — Finished goods are packed and shipped to your schedule.
Why Our Mold Library Saves You Time
Because we stock more than 2,000 moules existants, most tin box sizes can be sampled directly from existing tooling. That means:
- Faster sampling — no waiting for a new mold to be engineered and cut
- Lower cost — no tooling fee for existing-mold projects
- Lower minimums — orders on existing molds start at just 5,000 pieces
A completely custom size is also possible; it involves custom tooling, a higher minimum order and additional mold cost. Our team will always check the mold library for the closest match first.
Sample Cost
Sample cost depends on your design complexity, printing requirements and whether existing tooling can be used. The exact cost and lead time for your project are confirmed with our sales team at quotation — contact us with your design and we will respond within 24 heures.
