Custom metal tea tins are the packaging standard for serious tea brands. Unlike paper or plastic, a tinplate tin blocks light completely, resists crushing through global shipping, and reseals firmly after every opening — keeping loose leaf tea, tea bags and herbal blends at peak freshness. Specialty tea brands use metal tins to justify premium pricing and build shelf presence.

Every tin is made from food-grade 0.23 mm tinplate with an optional food-grade interior lacquer for direct contact. Round, square and rectangular formats are all available, and an inner lid can be added for extra protection. With more than 2,000 molds in our library, most tea tin sizes start production without tooling cost.

We print directly on the tinplate using CMYK offset printing with oil-based inks, with Pantone spot colors (Pantone Metallic included) for exact brand matching. A glossy finish gives maximum color vibrancy; a matte finish feels more refined and shows fewer fingerprints. Embossing and debossing are available to give your branding a tactile edge.

Our factory has produced tin packaging for more than 17 years, stocking over 2,000 molds and turning out 3,000,000 cans a month. Existing-mold orders begin at 5,000 pieces, while a custom dimension calls for new tooling, a higher MOQ and mold fees — so picking from the mold library is almost always the faster, cheaper route. Sampling takes 12~15 days.
